Fortis Academy 2nd Grade - 10/5-10/9

What a great first quarter!  The students worked so hard have improved so much-they constantly amaze me and I can't wait to see what they're going to do next.  Fall conferences have started for those of you who wish to sign up and a quick reminder that the students do not participate in the conferences :)

Reminder: No school Monday October 12 for a teacher in-service.

Please do not let your student work ahead in the Planet Project (PP).  We will be adding to it at home and in class and each part has an assigned time to be completed.  We are transitioning out of composing journal entries or writing misc. facts for Science into more structured writing.  The majority of the student's writing in Science will be on the vocab cards so please follow the instructions regarding grammar and spelling.  (Since they are loose pages, you might want to take out the vocab sheets for safe keeping and keep them at home.  I will let you know if a card needs to come to class to fill out on the blog).  Thank you!
