We are getting to the end of the school year, and I am continually amazed by your precious children. I know that some of you may be getting "Spring Fever," but I want to encourage you to push through until the end. Thank you so much for all of your hard work.

Math Objectives:

Composition: Continue to monitor your child's letter formation and the quality of their handwriting. We will continue practicing cursive in class together this week. They will be writing in cursive in 3rd grade. Let's get them prepared.
Reading: We have finished our OPG. Please review any of the lessons that your child is still struggling with.
Spelling: Please work on the rules and check that your child understands them. Be sure to check your child’s
weekly spelling test, and REVIEW the rule if your child struggled with it. Also, please place spelling in your child’s
binder EVERY week.

Geography: Asia song and map can be found here on the main blog curricula/geography page. Assessment for second grade will consist of point to correct location on a map, and saying/singing names.
History: We will have 2 history cards each week for most of this semester. I know that it seems like quite a bit of information, but please read them to your children. Help them to hold on to the main points of each lesson. They DO NOT have to know every detail!
