4/15-4/19

Dear Parents,

You will find over the next couple of weeks that we will be finishing up key pieces of our curriculum!   We are definitely nearing the end!

This week, students will be introduced to their end-of-year 2nd grade project, Space Dioramas. I think they are going to love this, and this will give their work a chance to be shown off in the front lobby so all grade levels will be able to learn about space and marvel at God's creation. I'm so proud of how much the students have learned about space this year!

Blessings in Christ,

Mrs. Poncy

Important info:

Math: Continue to practice the addition and subtraction timed test that I sent home in sheet protectors. Students should be able to do these under 5 minutes, ideally, and the more they practice the more they will be able to do.

Reading: Please have your child finish Marco Polo this week. I will encourage them to read it in class during our silent reading time, also.

Memory Work: Please continue to have your child practice, "Holy, Holy, Holy." We are performing/singing the first 2 stanzas at our end-of-year assembly, so we want to have this hymn memorized!
