Memory WorkPoem: How All Things Praise the Lord Due 2/27

Dear Parents,

It's sort of hard to believe that Christmas break is almost here! That was fast! I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas. Despite the busyness and stress that the holidays sometimes bring, I hope that the birth of Christ and God's plan for redemption through His Son brings you incredible joy over the next few weeks. Merry Christmas!

Please don't forget that on Wednesday, December 5th, we will have our 2nd grade Classical book exchange! We would love for you to bring a wrapped, new or gently used book so that the students can enjoy giving a gift to one of their classmates and going home with a present.

Have a WONDERFUL holiday!

Mrs. Poncy

Important Info:

Binder Organization: Consider taking some time over the break to clean out your child's binder of 2nd quarter work to make room for the next one!

Third Quarter Poem/Memory Work: This week, we will begin learning our 3rd quarter poem, "How All Things Praise the Lord!" This poem will be due the end of February. I will send the poem home this week, so look for it in your child's binder.

*PLEASE NOTE: DON'T FORGET SOUTH ASIA MAP DUE 1/30

Reading over the break: Although there is no official work assigned over the break, due to the amount of time we have off, please continue to help your child build stamina in reading by having them read independently and reading with them frequently.

December 5th: 2nd grade Christmas Party and Classical Book Exchange
December 7th: End of 2nd Quarter
December 10th-January 6th: Christmas Break!
