Dear Parents,

Thanksgiving is almost here! During this holiday, I'm specifically thankful God has seen it fit to allow me the opportunity to teach your child and to help build your child's view of God and His Kingdom. I hope all of you have a wonderful Thanksgiving break as we all take this holiday to rest in His provision, love, and eternal promises.

Happy Thanksgiving,

Mrs. Poncy

Important Info:

Science/History Journals: I am going to take some time over the break to read more in depth your child's written responses. Please have them bring this to class on WED, and I'll return them on Monday, November 26th.

Cursive writing: We're picking up the pace a bit in cursive this week! I would like to have all the letters introduced by the end of the 2nd quarter so students can start writing in cursive after the Christmas break. I love seeing their cursive developing so nicely in class.

Independent Reading over the holidays: Please continue to encourage your child to read over the break and to incorporate reading often. Please let me know if you need any ideas for series or authors your child might be interested in!
