Dear Parents,
We are knee deep in working with money in the classroom. I enjoy seeing them working with the fake money, since it gives them the hands-on learning so many of them need and enjoy. It's neat to teach a skill that will follow them the rest of their lives, in a very real world sort of way!
I cannot believe that there are only 6 more class days until Spring break! I'm looking forward to finishing strong before our next chunk of time off. :) I will enjoy these next 6 class days with your kiddo.
In Christ,
Mrs. Poncy
Important info:Math: Focus on reviewing math multiplication facts this week using flash cards. We don't want them to forget their facts since we're camping out in money for awhile.
Handwriting/CopyWork: This week consider having your child practice their cursive by copying select stanzas from the planets poem that was sent home. Although copy work can seem antiquated sometimes, it is very much a valuable tool in Classical education.
Reading: Please remember
we are starting
Little Pear this week! Please have your child bring their book to school and to read the assigned reading from the book each homeschool day.
