Update: Boxcar Children Comprehension Guide (CG)- Please read p 5 of the comprehension guide and then read p 6 with your students if you haven't already done this. By now, the students have a lot of practice in answering content questions or even giving their opinion. We are shifting to a little deeper level of comprehension. The emphasis should not be on having the exact same answer (found in the back of the comprehension guide) but on giving examples from the text to support their answer. Even if your student has been pretty independent with reading, this comprehension guide will likely require some discussion. Answers should all be in complete sentences with correct grammar, spelling, punctuation and handwriting. I'll be collecting them on Mondays to grade the previous week's work. I will underline anything that needs to be corrected. Please initial the top of the page once it's been corrected.
