Fortis 2nd Grade Tues/Thurs 10/31-11/4

 Hi Parents! Optional Dress Up Day is this coming Tuesday.

Math-The students are continuing to learn multiplication facts for 2, 5 and 10, but we will take a short break and review three digit addition and subtraction.  This is an important concept that we want to continue to practice.  Look for the worksheet in the campus binders.

Science-For Science this week, we'll be using our five senses (well, probably not hearing) to categorize fleshy fruits.  Please let me know by Weds. evening if you do not want your student to taste any of the following items: apples, blueberries, oranges, raw almonds, watermelon.  

  I will be posting new grades for Quarter 2 by Monday.  

 Middle East Map Test will be this Thursday 11/3.   Have a great weekend!

Fortis 2nd Grade 10/24-10/28

 Victory! All 12 students were back in class this week! It was great to see everyone together and healthy! Thank you to those who sent birthday wishes my way, I appreciated it.  We also celebrated Parrish's bday yesterday with some gluten free cupcakes.  Report cards will be available soon so look out for those! And DOGS day and Pizza day are coming up next week! Have a great weekend!

Second Grade Tues/Thurs October 10 thru October 14, 2022


Hi Parents! No school Tuesday! If you signed up for a conference I will see you Monday or Tuesday at Fortis or via Zoom.  This coming Thursday 10/13 we will have a Science activity with flowers again. If you would please send a few flowers to school with your child (if you happen to have a garden) --I'd super appreciate it.  Small to medium sized would be perfect since we will be preserving the flowers.

Historic Dress Up- November 1st: Costumes must be in the theme of our historic studies this year. Guidelines: No weapons, no gore, nothing scary, students need to be able to move and sit properly and use the restroom on their own. Have fun thinking of ideas; I can't wait to see what you come up with!
