For the last post of the year, I just want to tell you what a beautiful time we've had together.Thank you for all of your support this year. I hope you enjoy your summer and that it will be full of sweet memories and sunshine!
To keep your little one's mind fresh, here are some things to do over the summer:
- Read aloud to your children and have them read independently also, then have them narrate back to you all they know about the text they read. Booklist
- Reteach any concepts your child has struggled with this year.
- Have your child complete one of the Intensive Practice or Extra Practice books for math. Also be sure that they know addition and subtraction math facts through 20, multiplication tables of 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 10, and mental math strategies with fluency. Third grade will gear right up!
